A lot of you may be wondering if you can really make retail quality wine in your home for $2 a bottle. Let me assure it that it is not only possible, but with the wine concentrate kits I sell, the quality will surprise you! When sharing your first bottle of home made wine, your guests will doubt that you made the wine yourself.

Now, you are probably thinking that this is a difficult and time consuming process. Well, it is not! It is really quite easy as the following simple instructions indicate:

  1. Mix concentrate, water and bentonite in plastic bucket.
  2. Add yeast and wait 5-7 days.
  3. Transfer wine from plastic bucket to carboy (big bottle like those used by office water fountains) and wait 11-20 days.
  4. Add stabilizing chemicals and clearing agents. Stir well to remove carbon dioxide (CO2) and wait 1 - 3 weeks.
  5. Bottle your wine.
  6. Allow wine to age for 1 month to 1 year.

The whole process takes 1-2 months from adding the yeast to bottling your wine. The length of time depends on the specific kit used. Some kits have more solids and require more time to clear. By the way, solids are good. They give your wine the body, aroma and flavor; therefore, the more solids, the better the wine. Over the course of the process, you will spend about 3-4 hours performing the steps. The rest of the time, you just allow nature to do its thing!
